Sea kayaking

Mergui diving and sea kayaking in Burma

The Mergui Archipelago in Burma (Myanmar).

This archipelago stretches over 10,000 square miles and contains over 800 islands the majority virtually untouched. The gateway to the archipelago is Kawthong (Victoria Point) on the south tip of Burma, a 15 minute boat trip from the Thai port of Ranong.

One of the highlights of the more inshore islands is north of Clara Island at North Sentinel.

Muck diving lovers will get their fill at the closer to shore located islands, for a taste check our gritter gallery on this site.

Those prefering good Viz and some bigger marine life will not be disappointed at sites closer to the 50m depth mark, again for a taste of the biggies follow this link
