Myeik archipel North Twin island

North Twin Island

Although there are many dive sites around this island that geologically look similar to the Similan Islands, the best dive sites is an underwater ridge just south of North Twin and a submerged pinnacle north of the island.

Remarkably like Ko Tachai in thailand, but easier to dive on.

There is also a nice coral reef along the west coast of North Twin, which is fabulous for night diving. Lobsters, crustaceas, spanish dancer, small caves and occasionnaly nurse sharks.

Reef type:

Underwater ridge and submerged pinnacle

Access:

Live-aboard boat from Phuket or Ranong

Visibility:

Variable from 10-50 metres

Current:

Little to medium

Coral:

Covered with Sea fans and soft corals

Fish:

The ridge is covered with Marine life and every imaginable fish. .
Highlights: Several shark species are common in this area.
